Snow blanket + Lionel Fastrack

The snow fabric is laid in strips to cover the two wood lobes and the front center piece. For track, I used 20 pieces of Lionel Fastrack O-36 curves and 2 pieces of 10″ straights. To ensure best electrical contact, I used a Lionel brand gum eraser and rubbed down all three rails of each Fastrack piece. There was a lot of carbon buildup from previous train operations. Once cleaned, I snapped everything together and the result is pictured. Note the Christmas tree stand in the center and access gap behind that for powerstrips and remote control adapters.
